In order to improve the stability and fibrillation of zirconia sol, using industrial-grade zirconium oxychloride as raw materials, citric acid and acetic acid as organic additives, 4 solutions were prepared (no organic additives, citric acid, and Acetic acid, combined with citric acid-acetic acid), concentrated under reduced pressure, dried, and then subjected to thermogravimetric analysis and infrared spectroscopy to investigate the effects of citric acid, acetic acid and citric acid-acetic acid on the properties of zirconium sol. The results showed that the hydrolyzed product of zirconium oxychloride was mainly Zr(μ-OH)_2(OH)_2·nH_2O without organic additives. When organic additives are added, the bidentate chelation of citrate and zirconium mainly plays a role in stabilizing the colloid; the bidentate chelation and bridging coordination formed by zirconium ion and acetic acid can improve the stability of the colloid. , And help to improve the colloid fibrillation.
